Building Community Through Play: Liberty Elementary Community Build

Building Community Through Play at Liberty Elementary

At Northwest Playground, our mission is simple: building community through play. Last week, we brought that mission to life at Liberty Elementary with our very first annual Community Build, a hands-on event where volunteers, school staff, and our team came together to create a vibrant new playground.

Rolling Up Our Sleeves Together

Volunteers, school staff, and our team came together to install a brand-new playground designed for fun, imagination, and active play. With the support of our Community Build Grant, we provided the labor and installation to make this project a reality.

Through the Community Build, we were able to help the school district save $50,000 in labor and installation costs while also relocating the existing Liberty Elementary playground from the old campus to the new one.

This event was also a fantastic team-building opportunity for our staff. Stepping away from our daily roles, we came together to support the Marysville School District and create a playground that will bring joy and connection to students for years to come.

Fostering Friendships on Playgrounds

We can’t wait for Liberty Elementary students to return this fall to discover their new playground, a space designed for laughter, exploration, and building lasting friendships.

The Heart of What We Do

At Northwest Playground, we believe in the power of play to bring communities together. The Liberty Elementary Community Build perfectly reflects the heart of our mission: building community through play!

We hope to continue this Community Build Grant each year, bringing new playgrounds and support to a different community in need.
