Post and Platform
Everyone remembers the old “big toys” we grew up with: square decks with ladders leading up to platforms and slides or other features attached to descend. This is what we commonly refer to as “Post and Platform”, and how much things have changed from play structures of old!
All of our play equipment is modular meaning that we can mix and match posts, climbers and play features in any configuration imaginable. This helps tremendously in ensuring that each and every play structure we design is perfectly suited to the local community and can accommodate any unique site conditions.
Net Playgrounds
One of the most impactful way play has evolved over the years is simply in the materials that we use. Nets and climbing features make open ended play possible by using super durable nylon coated steel cable that help bring play to new heights!
Modern Playgrounds
In a lot of ways playgrounds can simply be considered a landscape feature for children to engage in social and physical interaction. In this way play can take a variety of forms and is only limited by a child’s ability to safely interact with the feature in a meaningful way.
Our lines of modern playgrounds redefine the traditional features that have embodied playgrounds for decades and looks to engage children to play on something that might not look like what we expect play equipment to look like.
Concrete Solutions
Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) has become a staple in how we theme play as it allows us the detail and flexibility to bring imagination to life. Maybe it's a log climber leading up to a playground platform, or a giant boulder designed with mulptile climbing routes for everyone from novices to bouldering pros. GFRC provides us the unmatched ability to create unique features that become a highlight for a community play area.
Custom Playgrounds
One of the coolest things that our wide line of play possibilities offers is the ability to customize absolutely anything! We want each and every playscape we design to be unique and sometimes the best way to accomplish that is through creating a play feature that is truly one of a kind.
What type of playground do you want to create: a treefort village, martian spaceship, or how about recreating a local landscape feature like Mt. Rainier? We can do that! Our only limitation is imagination.

- Site Visits - The first step of almost any project is arranging a site visit with our local Parks Consultants. During our first meeting we'll discuss the project goals, understand any site specific conditions, and develop a scope of work to get us started on putting together designs and budget estimates.
- CAD + Renderings - After our initial site visit we'll take our understanding of your site and work with our in-house Designer to develop detailed CAD drawings and 3D renderings of initial concepts.
- Fundraising Support - Are you looking to raise money for a project? At Northwest Playground Equipment we keep up to date on the pulse of national and local funding opportunities to help supplement your project project budgets.
- And It's All Free! - Being a resource for park planning is a service we take pride in so much so that all of our front end planning efforts are a no-cost service that we provide to help make your project a success. It's as easy as giving us a call or e-mail to get started!

We can help take your project all the way through from design to construction with full installation for all of our park equipment amenities. It doesn't stop there, need additional site work completed as part of the project? Just ask and we can oversee as much or as little of the project as you need.
Full installation and site work services are also available through our many Cooperative Purchasing Contracts for all of our public-sector customers.
- Certified Installation - Everything we install comes backed by our team of Certified Installers who ensure that each and every component is installed per Manucturer recommendations and we are compliant with all current safety standards.
- Site Work Management - Does you new Shelter need a concrete pad and walkway? Or would you like a vinyl-coated fence around your future play area? If you have a site work need associated with your park project let us know and we can help manage that portion of the project. Even available through our many Cooperative Purchasing Contracts!
- On-Site Supervision - It's always great to get the community involved in a project, and if that's your goal we can help provide an experienced on-site Supervisor for the duration of a weekend volunteer build.
