Anchorage, Alaska, is now home to the most accessible and inclusive playground in the Anchorage School District! Northwest Playground is proud to have partnered with Anchorage School District, Corvus Design Landscape Architects, and Territory North to bring this visionary space to life.

This flagship playground is designed to promote accessibility, inclusivity, and durability, setting the standard for future playgrounds in the region. It is built to withstand Alaska’s harsh weather conditions while providing a welcoming environment for children of all abilities.

At the heart of the playground is the durable SofSURFACES tile system, creating a safe and accessible entry for children with different mobility needs. Inclusive play equipment includes the Playworld Unity Spinner, AeroGlider with ramp, Cozy Cocoons, Unity Dome with interactive play panels, and an ADA swing. A standout feature is the thrilling Mighty Descent Slide, designed to provide fun for all ages.

This playground is more than just a play space—it’s a testament to the Anchorage School District’s commitment to fostering inclusion and creating a space where every child can play, grow, and thrive.
