Manhattan Park - Burien, Washington

Northwest Playground partnered with the City of Burien to design a new playground for Manhattan Park, creating an engaging space for children ages 2-12. The project required overcoming site challenges, including drainage and curbs, to ensure a safe and accessible play environment.

The playground features a diverse range of equipment to accommodate all ages, including three slides—one of which is the thrilling Mighty Descent—as well as four swings, including a Swing Along seat that allows a child and guardian to swing together. Two integrated shade structures provide relief from the sun, while colorful skylights cast a magical, multicolored glow onto the play area. Additional features include interactive activity panels and rope crossings, offering children exciting opportunities for climbing and exploration.

The new playground has been warmly received by both the community and the City of Burien, bringing vibrant play to Manhattan Park.
