Meadow Ridge Park - Albany, Oregon

In collaboration with Lango Hansen Landscape Architects, and the City of Albany, Northwest Playground helped bring a nature-inspired play space to life at Meadow Ridge Park, located next to Timber Ridge School. Tucked into a scenic natural setting, this playground offers a rugged and adventurous experience that invites kids to climb, explore, and connect with the outdoors.

The playground features a mix of engaging elements, including ID Sculpture climbing rocks, Earthscape timber stacks, and Playworld swings, all set on engineered wood fiber (EWF) surfacing. These components were chosen to complement the park’s natural character while offering active and visually striking play opportunities.

A unique challenge in this project was the site’s existing concrete layout and proximity to a wetland. To overcome this, a crane was used to lift and place the large ID Sculpture boulders over the wetland, ensuring safe and efficient installation without disturbing the surrounding environment.

With its emphasis on natural materials and adventurous design, Meadow Ridge Park provides a beautiful, nature-themed space for the Albany community to enjoy.
