Oakbrook Park - Vancouver, Washington

Oakbrook Park in Vancouver, Washington, is an inclusive, accessible playground designed to provide children of all abilities with a safe and engaging play experience. Northwest Playground partnered with the City of Vancouver to deliver a fully realized playground featuring Playworld equipment, interactive elements, and durable surfacing solutions.

The playground includes standout features such as the Mighty Descent hill slide, Naica climber, Accessible Whirl, bay of swings, multiple slides, and Concerto musical play instruments, offering a variety of physical and sensory play opportunities for all ages. Surfacing solutions combine engineered wood fiber (EWF), synthetic turf, and poured-in-place (PIP) rubber, ensuring safety, accessibility, and long-lasting performance.

This multi-year project began in 2021 and was developed through close collaboration with the city, resulting in a thoughtfully designed, fully accessible, and adventure-filled playground. Oakbrook Park provides a vibrant community space for families in Vancouver, WA, and serves as a model for inclusive and engaging play design.
