Wenatchee Riverfront Park - Wenatchee, Washington

Welcome to the Apple Capital of the World! The newly reimagined playground and splash pad at Wenatchee Riverfront Park celebrate the city’s identity with a custom apple-themed play structure designed and manufactured by Playworld. This one-of-a-kind feature offers a playful nod to Wenatchee’s agricultural roots while inviting children of all ages to climb, slide, and explore.

The project was brought to life through a collaborative effort led by Chelan PUD and Greenworks, who helped re-envision this beloved community destination. In partnership with Playworld, the iconic apple structure became a centerpiece of the park, blending imaginative design with inclusive play opportunities.

Complementing the playground is a steamboat-inspired splash pad featuring interactive water elements by ID Sculpture and Waterplayers. Designed for both fun and function, the splash pad encourages sensory exploration, movement, and cooling off on warm summer days. Colorful, cushioned surfacing by Life Floor ties the space together, enhancing safety while adding visual appeal.

Together, these elements create a vibrant, family-friendly destination that encourages play, connection, and lingering along the Wenatchee riverfront.
